Start with the complete installed scope
A glass-only price and a professionally installed enclosure cover different work. Ask whether a proposal includes field measurement, the glass specification, hinges or sliding hardware, handles, seals, delivery, installation and applicable taxes. Removal of an existing enclosure and repairs to surrounding surfaces should be discussed separately.
Horus prepares a custom quote for your project. We do not publish a one-size-fits-all installed price: final dimensions, the selected hardware and the condition of your opening determine the confirmed amount. Your initial request does not authorize a charge or fabrication.
The choices that change the price
- Layout and panel count. A single door, a door with a fixed panel, and a corner enclosure use different amounts of glass and support hardware.
- Glass dimensions and specification. Height, width, thickness, low-iron glass and custom shapes affect the material and fabrication scope.
- Hardware. Hinges, sliding systems, supports, pulls and finishes must suit the approved design. A finish name alone does not identify the same product across manufacturers.
- Site conditions. Out-of-plumb walls, benches, knee walls, angled ceilings, access and existing enclosure removal can change the work required.
- Installation and delivery. Confirm who measures, carries, installs and checks the finished enclosure. Include parking, stairs and building access in the discussion.
Compare three common enclosure types
Door between two walls: a focused scope when the finished opening and supporting walls suit a hinged design. Door width, swing clearance and the selected hinges still need review.
Door plus fixed panel: useful for a wider opening. The additional glass, panel support and connections belong in the quote.
Corner or custom enclosure: return panels, angles, benches or cutouts create a more individual fabrication and installation scope. Compare the actual drawings rather than treating two enclosures as interchangeable because they have a similar width.
Why a price per square foot is not enough
Area tells you about the amount of glass, but not the number of hinges, polished edges, cutouts, seals or site visits. Two designs with similar glass area can require very different hardware and labor. A written proposal should identify the approved layout and what is included.
When do you pay?
No payment is required to submit your Horus project request or schedule a free measurement. The first 50% is due after measurement, final price and signed production approval. The balance is due at installation, or before delivery or pickup for a supply-only order.
